Tightrope Walker / Balance Game reflects on the dynamics of manipulation and care within interpersonal relationships. The work explores the tension between pleasing others and asserting personal boundaries.

In the video performance, Akkel carries a large scale across his shoulders while two anonymous figures place beer glasses onto either side. Both sides are needed to sustain the action, caught in a cycle of pleasing, testing, and proving oneself. Through this repetitive exchange, the line between oppressor and oppressed begins to blur.
